I belong to some FB groups following this story and it seems he was spotted in Alabama and police are pulling security footage from some restaurant in Mobile where he was spotted the other day.
Interesting. I haven't seen anything on the groups that I follow. I still say he came back to LI as they must have family here that, if they are the same way as the parents, would cover for him too.
Sounds like he might be heading towards mexico....

You know, I can't help but think of his parents. I don't know what I would do in their situation. Our instinct is to protect our children. However, I think this proves he's a sociopath. Can you imagine putting your parents through this much stress? Allowing them to be slandered all over the place and being forced out of their own home for an FBI raid because of you? I think this is why the sister is yapping. She wants to protect her own family at this point so she needs to look cooperative and concerned. And maybe she is those things but she definitely needs to have it out there in the media to protect her own family from being harassed.

I think it's absolutely amazing that Red, White & Bethune had video footage of their van in the park and that lead to them finding her body nearby. I've followed that family on social media for years. They lost their son on the way to Disney years ago, and she always went back to visit the park with her awesome service dog and their matching attire before they started living on the road.
I hope they find this scumbag alive and he rots in jail.

I get it that if your child came to you and said I murdered some on purpose or by accident that you would probably want to protect them however enough is enough. Don’t they realize that the longer you hide him the worse the outcome is for him and for themselves, if he is still alive that is. It’s like a hit and run, if you stick around instead of running you’ll get less of a sentence. And now if these parents are withholding evidence then they are also in for some possible jail time too. When he came home they should have gotten said lawyer and speak on what has happened then.
I’m pretty sure they are collecting all electronic devices and will be combing through it for possible messages, tickets, rentals or whatever. My husband does that work and just because you deleted it doesn’t mean it does t exist anymore.

I am not sure the parents are complicit thou. He may have not told them he was planning to take off. If you believe their story at all then he left with the car on tuesday, there was a note on it that he left saying that they should remove it from the park but they left it there until thursday hoping he'd return.
Either way if they were going to help him try to escape they probably would have done it right away when he came home unexpectedly and told them what happened. He'd be long gone if they had put together a plan on Sept 1 when he first got home. He could have easily flown out of the country without anyone noticing (assuming he has a passport I guess).

They brought their own table and chairs into the house.
I wonder what they are hoping to find at the house. At this point they have had 3 weeks to get rid of evidence.
You know, I can't help but think of his parents. I don't know what I would do in their situation. Our instinct is to protect our children. However, I think this proves he's a sociopath. Can you imagine putting your parents through this much stress? Allowing them to be slandered all over the place and being forced out of their own home for an FBI raid because of you? I think this is why the sister is yapping. She wants to protect her own family at this point so she needs to look cooperative and concerned. And maybe she is those things but she definitely needs to have it out there in the media to protect her own family from being harassed.
I get it that if your child came to you and said I murdered some on purpose or by accident that you would probably want to protect them however enough is enough. Don’t they realize that the longer you hide him the worse the outcome is for him and for themselves, if he is still alive that is. It’s like a hit and run, if you stick around instead of running you’ll get less of a sentence. And now if these parents are withholding evidence then they are also in for some possible jail time too. When he came home they should have gotten said lawyer and speak on what has happened then.
I’m pretty sure they are collecting all electronic devices and will be combing through it for possible messages, tickets, rentals or whatever. My husband does that work and just because you deleted it doesn’t mean it does t exist anymore.
I am not sure the parents are complicit thou. He may have not told them he was planning to take off. If you believe their story at all then he left with the car on tuesday, there was a note on it that he left saying that they should remove it from the park but they left it there until thursday hoping he'd return.
Either way if they were going to help him try to escape they probably would have done it right away when he came home unexpectedly and told them what happened. That's an interesting thought. Could the parents have planted the mustang? As far as anyone else, I believe the sister said she neither saw nor spoke with him.

I don’t blame him for hiring a lawyer but yeah.. I’ve seen enough true crime things to know this isn’t good.
I feel like typically though they are too stupid to hire a lawyer. Maybe this kids parents are guiding him.
I think that’s what I read. I also read in passing they were engaged?
I think too that traveling can be stressful, you’re with each other every second, out of your comfort zones, and plus driving across country can make it even more stressful.
Not that it’s an excuse to kill anyone and in no way at all am I justifying it. I just wonder if that played a role in anything.
It’d be stressful but to the point of killing somebody?? I don’t think so. There must have been other signs that this guy was dangerous. Violence, jealousy, etc.

I meant more like a powder keg - issues + stress of traveling.
Someone even said she and him had issues on their long hauls and would need time apart.
