Anyone find out the baby's gender at the nuchal translucency ultrasound?
My SIL did...
Is that common?
I have the test tom'w, and I'm dying to know the gender!

no its not common. Sometimes doctors will tell you what they think, but I don't think the baby's organs are done developing yet - so I don't think its very accurate.
My doctor wouldn't even give me his guess at that point.

I had mine on Friday, the tech said they could not determine the sex then- DH thought one of the legs were the you know what 
Its a test for chromosomal abnormalities specifically down syndrome- its usually between 11 and 13 weeks.

They told us at 12 weeks they thought it was a boy but not to run out and get everything blue until they confirmed at the 20 week sono, they were right.
