Anyone ever use the babysitters at the gym for your infant?

Well, I still haven't gone back to the gym and I used to be a crazy gym person. I told my gym to hold my membership til October so now they're charging me so I BETTER go. I could go when DH gets home from work but I hate working out at night. At least I can go on weekends but I'm paying $60 a month here!

DD is 4 months old. They say you can start bringing them to the babysitting room at 3 months. Have any of you left your infants with them before? I have a feeling it is definitely not meant for a high maintenance baby like my Riley though.Chat Icon

I have. With maddie I started at 6 months old, Eliza at 4 months. I figure I'm literally right there if they need me and it's for an hour tops.

I can't wait til Eliza turns a year old because then she can go in the Kids Club rather than infant care (which has limited hours).

ETA: Eliza was a pretty high maintenance baby and she did fine. Something about being in a new place with all new toys I suppose.

I started taking DS at 6 months so it's only been a month. They have 2 girls in there to watch the kids. I go at 8 am or 10:30 a.m. DS is often the only child in there because I go when there are no classes being offered. Even when I peek in the room, the girls are usually just playing with him on their lap or talking to him. He stays in there about an hour.

My DH takes both girls with him to the gym. He started taking Erin about 6 weeks ago, so she was about 4.5 months old. There aren't usually many kids in there. Usually just my 2 plus 1 other boy.

I wanted to do the same thing with DS but now I get so afraid with the flu and him being exposed to other kids. That was my plan to start bringing him around 5-6 months...otherwise, I am always working around my DH's schedule. He starts coaching high school wrestling in 2 weeks & I'll never be able to go!

I leave them there, Emma was 3 months when I started, they do feed, hold her if need be they just don't change her diaper... Her big sister is there with her so she tells me what happens!
