Anyone ever go for an upper endoscopy?
Iam scheduled to have one on Friday in the doctors office. How does everyone feel afterwards?

I had one. Like any time I have anesthesia, a little loopy afterwards.
My throat was dry and sore too, but bring a drink with you for afterwards.
They also took a small biopsy out, so I had a little burning (kind of like heart burn).

I had one done in jan. I had it done as an outpatient in the hospiatl. my throat hurt and was very scratchy for a few days.

I had one done in December and thought it was nothing. The worst part is that I was just tired and headachey all day from the anesthesia.

I've had a few. I was fine after..woosy for a few hrs. I actually went out later in the day.

i had one too.....the anestheisa was the worst part....i felt soooo sick all day....like i was going to vomit and horrible gas pains but other than that it was awesome dont worry i think i had a reaction to the anthestics

It was fine...had that and a colonoscopy the same day. Now that I think about it I was totally under.

I've had 3 endoscopies over the last 10 years. They weren't a big deal at all for me. I had a bit of a sore throat for a couple of hours. They never give me a huge amount of anesthesia, so once they released me (I think after a half-hour to an hour after the procedure), I was fine.
After the last one, my sister and I went out to lunch on the way home!

I had one no big deal. I was an outpatient in my dr.s office and just did it with volume, I didnt have anesthesia.
I didnt feel a thing and wasnt sore either. good luck and dont worry its very easy!

i had one and it was okay. like the other girls my throat was scratchy afterwards.
BUT, i actually woke up in the middle of it! i guess they were taking a little longer than they thought and i started to wake up and looked up at the tv screen and saw my insides!  i was so groggy that i just fell back asleep though.

DH took me and afterwards we went into the Dr's office to go over the results - I remember thinking "DH better be paying attention right now because I have NO clue what the doc is saying". I then proceded to tell everyone in the waiting room that they should ask for the drugs "because they are AWESOME". They all laughed thank God otherwise I never would have gone back!!

Don't feel bad I was the same way. Aparently I went on and on about how much I love my DH.
We still joke about it when I go back to the office.

I go every 1-2 years because I had surgery for a hiatel hernia...usually after my throat hurts a little but thats about it! Good luck!
