Anyone else's kid HATE the beach??
I swear, she must get it from me....but DD HATES the beach. She is scared of the ocean and calls the sand "yucky". She had a complete meltdown during July 4th weekend....she is much happier sitting in a restaurant eating then being at the beach....she would rather be eating than doing most anything else LOL. She just turned 2, so I'm chalking it up to the fact that she has a lot of fears right now, but she hated it when she was younger too....

I am not sure how DS feels about the beach but I took him to the pool on Monday and he was very content to be in the pool/sprinkler for a short while and then happily lounged on his chair next to me for the rest of the day!! Thats my kinda boy!  All we needed was poolside food service

We have more of a sand issue...if i put her down in it she freezes. Thats only if I can get her to put her feet down.

DD was like this for a while. She still does not like when there are a lot of waves and she used to hate the sand. I would say it wasn't until mid-summer last year (she was a little over 18 months) that she started to get over it. We spent a week on Martha's Vineyard and went to the beach everyday and she pretty much had to get used to it.

yes totally...
thank god...I was beginning to think DD was the only one....and when I mean hate, I mean she DESPISES it. If I say "beach" she starts to cry.
