any know or have someone who is looking to adopt/give away a puppy
I am looking to get a puppy (small dog) id rather give a puppy that needs a home before going to a breeder. I fig i would ask you ladies first. THANKS

I know for a fact that Kent Animal Shelter out in Calverton is getting in Pups from St.Croix tonight. I volunteer there.
I don't know what type of dogs they are or exactly when they'll be ready for adoption but most of the pups who come in are around 4 weeks old.
Kent de-worms, vaccinates and spay/neuters them all before they're adopted so that could take about 3-4 more weeks.

thanks i know that. i was trying to see if some had here first to help a pup in need. if not then il try a shellter then a breeder.

I know some people involved in dachshund rescue if you want me to ask them. If you do come out to a shelter on LI, can I come with you to see the pups?

Check out this dachshund/pekingese mix. I know the lady who is fostering her (and putting her on a diet). I wish I could take her!! (Editied because it's a "she").
