Any Jeep owners out there?
Well, BOTH of our cars died this month so we are looking to get a used vehicle asap. Does anyone have any experience with the Jeep Grand Cherokee? We are open to any year...thanks!!

My DH has my Jeep now. I'm honestly not sure of the year, could be 2002 or 2004. Anyway, I wouldn't buy a JGC again. It's a little small on the inside. The same parts keep breaking over and over again, and the check engine light has been on for 2 years. I've spent over $1000 to get it fixed and nothing. It's also bad on gas, both of my are. When I buy again it's going to be fuel efficient.

I'm on my 4th Jeep!  Leased a grand cherokee I think in '05 for 3 years. I loved it, it did have a few issues towards the end of the lease but nothing major. It was a gas guzzler when I had it, not sure if they've gotten better with that over the years.
I have a '10 Liberty now and love it too.

Okay, so we are single-handedly keeping Mullan Motors in Southold in business... lol
I have a 2010 Wranger, my parents have a 2008 Commander, my sister has a 2010 Liberty, had a 2004 Grand Cherokee. Honestly, the Grand Cherokee was the fanciest (because the Commander wasn't supped up and decked out).
It was a great car, heated seats and everything. She never had the parts issues like the PP said. It was a nice car, but a little small, very mass produced.
I'm partial to the Wrangler, obviously. They live and last forever, but even my decked out one is far from plush, but I know i'm going to have it for the next 30 years.
The Commander is amazing. Very spacious, drive smooth. Bigger than the GC, but feels similar. They don't make them anymore, but since you're looking for a user car i would totally recommend it!

I have an '08 Jeep GC - only one issue with a thing-a-ma-jig but I think it was b/c I was taking the speed bumps too fast - it was covered under warrantee.
Plenty of room - not the best on gas.

I have a 2010 jeep grand cherokee. I had an issue in the beginning but it was electrical, they fixed it and paid for my rental. I have almost 50k miles on it already, havent needed new tires or brakes or had any other probs. Its not good on gas but really no suv's are. I love it.

We have a 2000 with 106,000+ miles and going strong (fingers crossed that I dont jinx it) and a 2005 that I honestly dont like as much as the 2000 but have no complaints about. We will probably always have one Jeep in the house.

I have a 2011 which is the new model, it is a lot bigger than the model before which I also had. I am on Jeep number 4 all leased.
They are great and do great in the snow, but it is now costing me almost $100 to fill up!

had an 87 cj7 wrangler - was awesome. kicked serious ass and wasn't a gas guzzler. as with any old car it needed work but nothing insane and by comparison to my saab, cheap (by a LONG shot) to fix.
also had an 03 grand cherokee - loved it. ran like a dream, never had an issue with it. gas guzzler, like REALLY BAD. think 13-15/mpg which sucks. but i still wish i'd have never given it up.

DH loves his 2009 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited. I do know he's gotten plenty of recall notices in the mail though. He also had a 1984 Renegade that lasted well beyond its years!

I bought a 2006 jeep grand cherokee limited 2 years ago and I LOVE IT! Granted, I came from a small car so it's very roomy for me.
I've driven quite a few different trucks and love the Jeep the best. I will never go back - each truck from now on will be Jeeps

I always said I wanted a Jeep. I have an 06 Jeep Cherokee and I am NOT a fan. I will never get a Jeep again. Aside from the fact that there is a transmission issue (electronic shifter module - common to Jeeps) it just doesn't drive as well as I thought it would. Looks nice, that's about it.

We are a Jeep Family here. I currently own a 2011 Grand Cherokee and my hubby owns a 2010. we have never had any problems with any of the previous Jeeps. A few years ago we sold our 2001 to a friend, and the thing is still going strong with over 200,000 miles.
