American Museum of Natural History - with 3yo, what should I visit?

I'm planning to bring my 3yo DS to visit the Natural History Museum. I haven't been there in a few years and I want to make the best of our time there. What should I make sure to see?

I think you are going to want to start off on the 4th Floor where the dinosaurs are. There is curretly an exhibit called The Biggest Dinosaurs or something, its not worth the price of admission, do not pay money to go and see this. It costs something like $25 for admission and this show, if you want to just go into the museum, you can just pay a suggested fee. We were there this weekend, its pretty great. The hall of Pacific People has a Dum dum like in Night at the Museum, thats worth seeing. The Hall of Invertebrates is pretty good also. Its justa good place to wanter around. Shake Shack on Columbus is a fun place for lunch, but there is always a long line. Have a good time!

my 2.5 yr old loved the whole place - the bones, the whale and the space stuff.

Bring your own lunch though - the little cafe was a let down.

when mine was 3 we started off on dinosaurs floor.
then we moved to animals.

when we head up next week, going to do planetarium

we just went this past weekend. My son loved the dinasaours and the whale and marine life room. I agree with a pp the shake shack is delicious!!
