Amazon prime. Getting frustrated...

We have been prime members for a long time. Never had any issues.

Now I am getting so confused and frustrated. What happened to the simple two day shipping?

The other day I ordered something that was listed as prime, and it said prime is 4-5 days shipping for that item. Fine. Now I'm ordering something else and it says "1 day shipping with qualified order of $35." ?? Anddd what if I don't spend $35?

What the heck?? I am using the filter to show only prime items. What happened to the normal, straightforward two day shipping??

I remember this happening to me around the same time last year. I think it might have to do with the holidays.

Re: Amazon prime. Getting frustrated...

4-5 days is usually something that is large or requires a larger box to ship. Would be too expensive for them to send air if they don't have sufficient stock in a warehouse near you.

I have never seen the 1 day shipping with $35 order, only if it's an add-on item. What item is this that requires a $35 order?

It was a shower curtain that was $29.99 I believe.

You may be right about the 4-5 day thing. That came up when I tried ordering a package of cardboard boxes (we are moving soon). Guess that could be a large/unusual size to ship.

If the item is large and they don't have sufficient stock in all their warehouses across the country, they don't like to offer full prime.

The entire key to their prime shipping is they keep sufficient stock at strategic locations across the country (some in Northeast, some in Midwest, some west coast, etc.) so when an order comes in they can try to send the item ground from the warehouse closest to you. This way it arrives in the 1-2 day timeframe that the buyer asks for.

On the other hand, I love that they now deliver on Sunday. Got two boxes yesterday via prime.

But I wish they'd stop changing my subscribe and save items. LOL

Amazon prime. Getting frustrated...

Smaller add on item sometimes don't count for prime unless you order 35 dollars worth of stuff (typical price to have free shipping)

thats always been that way.

They have a same day delivery on qualifying orders over $35. Ive used it before.

Ive never seen the 4-5 day on prime even on bigger items though.

And why put the items in the prime category if they know they can't honor the 2 day?

Because they are still offering free shipping. Here is an example of an item that has the 3-5 day transit.

This - we're looking to get a basketball hoop for my son and it's Prime but, not the standard 2 day shipping.

I've seen this but usually when there is more than one seller. I usually can go through the seller list an dfind the item that is being sold by amazon or fulfilled by amazon and I get 2 day prime shipping.
