We get that you don't like the superbowl. And guess what? THAT'S OK! I'm sure there are PLENTY of people who also don't care about the superbowl. I have some friends who have literally never, ever seen a single superbowl game.
I'm not a big fan of football or commercial consumerism but I always like an excuse to eat good food, be with friends and family and watch a musical concert. I'm very excited this year for Shakira!
I made a promise to myself to post it every year.
Actually I didn't even know it was this weekend already until I started seeing all the posts on here and was like oh shit, it's coming. But on the bright side, after Sunday no more hearing football until next year!

Not the only one! But I feel like I have some sort of learning disability when it comes to football...many MANY people have tried explaining it to me, i’ve watched/been to many games, and I just can not understand or follow the rules. The only thing i’m looking forward to is the J. Lo/Shakira performance :)
Omg Yesss! I can’t wait for the Latin Power half time show. Love them both

Sunday will be my normal day of errands, cleaning and Mass at 5 pm.
This reminded me of the time my mother and I went to the 7 PM Mass on Super Bowl Sunday. There must have been 10 people in the church. The priest said he definitely didn’t get the good schedule. He had the 7 AM Mass on New Year’s Day and the 7 PM Mass on Super Bowl Sunday! Needless to say, it was a short homily!

I will be trolling around home goods probably buying 96438743 throw pillows that i don't need-basically avoiding the company my DH invited over to watch the game....

Am I the only one....
I would like it much more if it were on Saturday. I just can’t do Sunday nights before a long week of work. I go to bed early and have no desire to interact with anyone on Sunday night.

I have heard rumbling for years about how they should change it to Saturday. How bars, etc would actually make more money around it if it were on a Saturday instead and how fans, of course, would like it better too.
I wonder why they don't. There has to be a reason other than just tradition.

I think Las Vegas/sports betting would actually loose money if it were on a Saturday.
Sunday night game they have a whole day of betting that would be lost if it were on a Saturday night.
Who knows, maybe sports betting has more say then we realize when it comes to the super bowl!!

I have no interest in the super bowl or the commercials. Hasn't it been a really long time since a funny commercial aired during the super bowl anyway? It's just not for me. Commercials make me break out in hives.
