Alexa Sprained her Ankle & Kids Recliner PSA...
Last night Alexa was sitting on the little child's recliner that my Mom bought them from Costco. She fell forward off the chair and I thought she was laughing so at first I didn't react. Then Andrew started screaming that her leg was caught. Her leg got caught in the foot recliner part.
It was all twisted and I never heard her cry like she did. We took her to the ER and she sprained her little ankle
I feel so bad for her. She keeps trying to take off the ace bandage so this should be exciting
BE CAREFUL WITH THE KIDS RECLINER!!! It opened on it's own and it really had her leg caught in there
DH is drilling it closed so it doesn't open anymore. They never used the recliner part anyway.

DS had to be bandaged up like that when he had a small fracture on the top of his foot.

How did you keep him from walking on it?
She keeps walking, limping, then she falls and it starts hurting her again.
I tried keeping her the highchair and she keeps wanting out.
I think maybe today I will run errands and have my Mom wait in the car with her so she will sit still.
I feel so bad for her

I hope she feels better soon. My boys have the same recliners and they love to stand on them. They do tip easily. The more I say do not stand the more they stand!! UGH

I hope she feels better soon. I refused to put a recliner in my DDs playroom b/c of this exactly, that the foot rest flipping up seems like a hazard to me.
