Alaska
Thinking of a trip there in August. Any places to see that are a must? Things to do?
No boats  lol
Should I fly into Anchorage?
Will be there probably a week.

We went 10 years and it was amazing. Flew into Anchorage and stayed at a B&B. We rented a car and drove to Seward, visited a glacier, hiked at Chugach Mountain and watched some sunsets from there, visited the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and explored downtown Anchorage. We were only there for a few days but there was a lot to do and it was beautiful.

I did a cruise to Alaska many years ago. I would say one of the most amazing excursions (which I'm sure you could do without being on a cruise), was a helicopter ride to a glacier and then dog sledding on the glacier. It's expensive, but definitely a great experience
