? about Friends of animals & Hawkins Animal Hosp.
Has anyone ever taken thier dog there for neutering with the FOA certificate?
I want to take Buddy next month to get neutered. The vet we were taking him to charges more than we can spend. So I found out about FOA and saw that its $64 for the certificate and that Hawkins Animal Hospital participates. I've heard nothing but good things about this place. I want to take Buddy there since we are looking for a new vet (we've has some issues with the staff where we go).
My question is, besides the fee of $64 from FOA, are there any other fees the hospital will charge?

You will need to call and ask the vet. We did an FOA neuter and due to our dog's size, we had to pay a bit more for anesthesia, etc.

I just called Kent animal shelter and asked about the Friends of animals program and was told to get my dog spayed it would be $17- I was shocked, my puppy is too little to bring they told me she has to be over 5 months.

When we neutered our dogs, we had to pay for the medicine which wasn't all that much.. I would call and ask the vet what other fees they may charge you
