Anyone following the Gabby Petito story?
So sad and I wish the fiancé would start talking to help her family out :(

My SIL went to school with the dad and most of the people I work with know the dad personally. Its very sad. I watch/listen way too much true crime to have a positive outlook on this situation. Its very sad.

I don't watch true crime and my outlook isn't positive either. Anytime someone immediately lawyers up and refuses to say anything... it raises suspicion

I agree that he probably did it but the weird thing is that I was just at Grand Teton National Park last week and we went on a tour. The guide told us that people go missing all the time. He said people don't understand the risks of hiking and camping there and in other national parks like it. But even still, he probably did it.

I agree, he seems guilty. He literally came home and immediately lawyered up and won't cooperate. So suspicious.

We saw this on the news last night and I think the boyfriend murdered the girl. I am so sorry for the family.

I mean it's obvious he did something.
His family told him to come home and he lawyered up and won't talk to the police.

It’s horrible. I think like 65% of women are killed by their male partner.
I don’t blame him for hiring a lawyer but yeah.. I’ve seen enough true crime things to know this isn’t good.

I feel like typically though they are too stupid to hire a lawyer. Maybe this kids parents are guiding him.

This is an extremely difficult time for both the Petito family and the Laundrie family.
"I understand that a search has been organized for Miss Petito in or near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. On behalf of the Laundrie family it is our hope that the search for Miss Petito is successful and that Miss Petito is re-united with her family.
"On the advice of counsel the Laundrie family is remaining in the background at this juncture and will have no further comment."

I think that’s what I read. I also read in passing they were engaged?
I think too that traveling can be stressful, you’re with each other every second, out of your comfort zones, and plus driving across country can make it even more stressful.
Not that it’s an excuse to kill anyone and in no way at all am I justifying it. I just wonder if that played a role in anything.

Buying time to create a "she ran off missing" theory that will go nowhere. Create the illusion of hope.

This was posted in my Yellowstone group last week and I hadn't realized she was from here until yesterday when I started reading more. Her photos on IG are beautiful and they looked like they were having a great time. So sad. I guarantee he did something to her. Someone said his necklace was missing from recent photos, and some of the IG posts seem like they were him posting them on her page. So the theory is he pushed her off a cliff, she tried to grab his necklace, and then the necklace went with her.
