Not what I imagined but wouldn't change a thing!

May 30th had a sono. Baby is still breech at 36 weeks.

We go to our Bradley class that night, talk to our instructor, get some tips on how to turn this baby... Also get chiropractor and acupuncturist information from a fellow classmate.

DH and I go home that night, take an ice cold soda can and rub it along the top of my belly while rubbing below - hoping baby will gravitate towards the heat. After we do that for about 30 mins, DH starts rubbing my belly real low and talking to the baby real low. Again hoping that baby will gravitate towards his voice.

5:15am Thursday morning 5/31 I get up to use the bathroom. I finish, get up, and whoosh, something else comes out. It just keeps coming and coming. I hop into the shower and yell for DH - "OMG I think my waters broke!!".

We call the doc and he says to get to the hosp right away due to baby being breech. On our way I'm praying that this baby turned. We get there and no such luck. Baby is still breech and since my waters broke there was no chance of trying an external version to get this baby to turn.

Around 10:45am they wheeled me into the OR, and DD was born at 11:56am. 5 lb 11 oz, 19 1/2 in long.

She is absolutely perfect in every way and I wouldn't change a thing. Chat Icon

Jenn! I wish you had told me she was breech... I would have shared my experience with Sean and why we chose the route we did. But who cares! She's here safe and sound and she's a beauty!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon
