First Birthday Party Inspiration
Can anyone share of any good sites with some ideas for birthday parties at home?
DD is turning one in June and I just wanted to start gathering ideas. We are having it in our backyard and I really want to make it special for her. I have a picture in my head but I'm not good at being creative and executing.

HI did you have a theme in mind? I would start with that. I am doing Mickey Mouse for my DS first bday. Let me know what your theme is and ill see if I can find some good sites.

I didn't do much with it b/c I wanted to keep costs down but I loved my girly giraffe theme
It was in my backyard too.
I dont really love kiddie stuff so I found gorgeous giraffe print plates and cups and used hot pink tablecloths.
DD wore yellow, and had a giraffe bib, I had a giraffe cake topper that was just a ceramic little figurine that hse kept in her room
For "centerpieces" I grabbed all of her giraffe stuffed animals and put them in teh center of each table (if i didnt have a low tent I would have had them holding pink balloons
Favors were AMAZINGLY ADORABLE girly giraffe cookies from teh cookie lady
I dont like to go overkill with the theme so this was perfect for us!
ETA: oops! just saw you said SITES! sorry! well this was what i did anyway LOL

I don't have an exact theme just yet. I'm thinking I want to work with a pink and green color scheme. Those are the colors of her nursery but I think I'd rather do a brighter pink and green for her party. (Her room is softer - pics in my album). I'd like it to be very girly - I was picturing pretty paper lanterns, butterflies, dragonflies (my personal fave), fairies, etc. Sort of like a backyard garden party but brighter. Am I making sense  ???

We did a ladybug picnic, but did pink and green as the colors. It was adorable!
(pink lemonade with green lime slices )
ETA: I had found a article in a magazine about a ladybug picnic party and I googled the company that did it. I found that they put their templates online for public use.
Here they are:

So fun!! I was just on Chasing Fireflies looking at their Easter stuff and came across this:
