Return policy at Macy's for jewelry?

I tried checking their website for this info, but it seems like all of their return/exchange information is geared toward online purchases. Then I called their 800 number and got disgusted with the person who was not understanding my simple situation.

Someone on DH's side gave me a piece of jewelry from Macy's but it's really not my style at all. It was in a Macy's box, has the little Macy's return tag sticker on the back, but this is just NOT the kind of person who I could ask for a gift receipt from without it being a huge deal.

Will Macy's take it back and give me store credit? I really hope so.

(See? Simple enough. Though you would've thought I was asking their phone rep for the meaning of life!!! )

I would think so since it has the return label on the box.

as long as it still has the tag + the macys return label, they will take it back and give you store credit. but it will be for the lowest price it was sold at in the last 90 days

(or at least thats what the policy used to be a few years back when i worked there)

Thanks for the quick answers! I don't mind getting the lowest price it was sold for...whatever I use the store credit for will be more useful than the jewelry sitting in my drawer, unused! :)
