7 Days On LUPRON And No Side Effects...Is This Ok?
Hi Guys.
Is this not normal? I am starting to feel afraid that I am NOT EXPERIENCING side effects. I keep asking my DH.."Are you sure you are injecting me"? Any advice and reassurance would be great.
I start stimming next Thursday (January 3rd)
Additionally, does anyone know if there is a way to avoid the intramuscular shot (I have to do this when I take the progesterone). I am so afraid it's ridiculous and I was wondering if I can ask for an alternative or there is no way out of this type of shot during IVF.

I didnt have any side effects from Lupron.
Also, don't be afraid of the Intramuscular shot, I thought they hurt less than the lupron/follistim. Best of luck!

I'm sure it's fine to have no side effects. As for the progeserone, there are suppositories but I think most RE's like the injections. I'm going to ask tomorrow when I go in if I can to the suppository but I am expecting to be told no

I don't remember any side effects from Lupron, either. My dr gave me no alternatives the progesterone shots. It is the most reliable way to ensure you are getting the correct dosage. It was not fun, but doable. I was a baby at first, but then I realized it would all be worth it in the end. No pain, no gain I guess.

I don't know anyone who had a reaction to Lupron.
As far as the progesterone, most RE's insist on the injections for at least a few days, then ask if you can move to suppositories - gross, but less painful.

I was on Lupron for a few months for other issues. I didn't have any side effects for 1 month.
Good Luck, hopefully you will continue to be side effect free
