Rachael Ray Show taping....
has anybody ever been to one?
I just got the email that I got tickets for a show in a couple weeks.
I'm really excited  If nothing else, just to see what goes on behind the scenes of taping a show...
If you've been to rachael ray:
1) How early should i get there for a 10 AM taping?
2) how long do the 10 AM tapings last?
3) anything else i should know?

I believe I got there around 8 and left by 2. I don't want to ruin your day but I had the worst time. Maybe she was having a bad day but what you see on camera is not how she acted when the cameras stopped.

haha thanks! its ok... i've heard that before, thats its all an act for the cameras still want to go, jsut to see what its like.
do you think if we get there to get in line around 9, we would still get in? or should we go earlier?

I would say be there by 8:30. A lot of people get turned away, but from what I hear they invite you to another show if that happens.
They tape for about an hour and a half.
Follow the dress code or they make you leave or buy new clothes/shoes. That happened to a bunch of people. No capri pants, flip flops, etc...
It's not as fun as I thought it would be. You do get some cool stuff though.

we got there at 8 for the 10am taping, and this was 3 1/2 years ago, before her show became really popular. I wouldn't get there any later than that. I think we were out by 12 ish. She was not friendly when the cameras weren't on her. I was super disappointed.

We got done late which was not the norm. After we went to the Blarney Stone on 3rd ave for lunch.

I would be there by 8:30 at the latest. They give out more tickets then there is space and even if you are first in line you will not be first in. If they turn you away with a ticket, you will get a new date to come back. On the date you come back you have VIP status and get in before everyone waiting on line.

The tapings including all the stuff before are about two - three hours.
"Anything else i should know?"
They are strict with the dress code. She is a real b iatch, the food sucks and you usually do not get much for being part of her audience. Have fun in spite of it all, it is an interesting experience.

We got there around 8 and were the 2nd on line.....
Taping was about 2 hours...
Food sucked...some muffins, water, coffee.
The guy who keeps the audience occupied while they re changing scenes is pretty good...RC I think his name was.
I got lucky and went to the taping of a show on which they had a woman who started a business that tests and rates baby products. The entire audience got a Babba Co car seat cover, thermoscan thermometer, Parrot hands free device and a Shark Steam Mop!
...and we got to see a segment that she taped for another show...Keri Hilson sang acoustic version of Knock You Down...
Oh yeah...and these pretty yummy pretzels were the snack of the day so they gave 2 big bags of them in a reuseable shopping bag.

Definitely get there early and watch how you dress.
We went 2 years ago for her christmas gift edition and left there with TONS of awesome prizes!

my friend went last yr and they said she was a royal Beyotch..i hate when celebs let fame go to there head....have fun though and hope u get some good tv shots and prizes

Some of you are depressing me saying that she's a total different person when she's not on camera! I was thinking of going to a taping but now I'm thinking that I don't want to go.
But have fun and hope you get some nice gifts for being there!

I went to the first ever taping of her show. It was interesting & I had a good time. I believe we got on line at 8 am, and were done around 1-1:30.
