Teething remedies for 2 year old (molars)...help please
My 21 month old DS is obviously cutting his 2 year old molars. He is super cranky, has rashes, horrible stinky poo, and has his fists in his mouth all the time.
What can I do for him?
Thank you!

Motrin is better then Tylenol...It helps with the inflammation that goes with the teething and it lasts longer...Aside from that, I have no idea. DS is getting his one year molars and I haven't found anything to help him. He does love to chew on his toothbrush though..

My mom said that I broke all my teeth without any notice, up until those 2y molars. She would give me cold cucumbers to gnaw on.
Another I've recently heard of remedy is pickles, because salt helps with swelling, but honestly I don't know if its okay with all that salt.

I also second motrin. I actually had a dr tell me it was ok to give for weeks on end as long as you follow dosing info. You can try teething tabs but I thought I remebered that sme lots were recalled. Cold foods(ice cream, yogurt cld fruit etc. I will even wet a washcloth and stick it back there and let them chew for a minute-sometimes it helps the tooth break through which eases the pain.
