6 weeks leave?
Not preggers yet.. just looking into my options.
I work for a small company, less than 50 so no FMLA, and I only get 6 weeks maternity. Is that even possible to recover in time ?
Anyone else only get 6 weeks.
Excuse my ignorance, I have no idea.

I think that is okay for recovery, but I would talk to your doctor and see what they think. I work for a giant company, so FMLA applies here, but I cannot afford to go the full 12w without a paycheck so I was thinking of coming back after 6. I am sure you would be fine, but best to check with your OB just to be safe. Good luck!

6 weeks is the norm.
That's all NYS disability will pay for unless you have a c-section because the belief is that you are healed enough at that point to go back to work.

I am only going to get 6 weeks.. unless I have a C-Section then I will get 8 I believe.

Same here......I still do not know if I will get paid either. We are so small we have no handbook..........plus I am the 1st full timer to be pregnant they have ever had.

I get 6 weeks (or 8 weeks for a c-section) of short term disability and I can take FMLA after that, but since its unpaid, I don't think I will be able to.
