Good place to buy Air Conditioners?
Do you guys have any recommendations of where to buy AC's for a good price?? Also- any good brands to recommend? (we were loking at Fridigadaire, Armanda, Freidrich and GE)

We always go to PC Richard. And since we have to buy according to the pre-existing hole in the wall, we get whatever brand makes that size. Kind of narrows it down.

We have Friedrich ACs and they are great. I don't know what DH paid for them, since he had them before I moved in.

I like Sears appliances best too. I bought a Kenmore for my co-op that was an energy-saver with remote control. It kept my whole 750 sq. ft. apt cool.

Thanks everyone!! Yes, we went to PC Richards, and their prices were good.. But Loews, the Sunday sales paper had amazing prices!! Do you have them install as well? were they good at instillation?

I purchased a 12,000 BTU Frigidaire from Lowe's and it was only about 80 lbs so I installed it myself..wasn't too difficult but I suppose if you bought one much larger it might be worth the extra $100 or so to have it professionally installed.
