Baby acne
Has anyone's baby had a bad case of baby acne? Is there anything I can do to help it clear up? Jared looks like a teenager going through puberty!

It happens to most babies, it's the hormones from mom getting out of their system, I think... it just goes away. Both my kids had it at about 3 weeks and it lasted for 1-2 weeks.

Nick had this when he was about 3 weeks old. My ped. gave a prescription for something, but I found what worked was Aveeno baby moisturizer for excema (sold in drug stores).

Michael had it for a while. I tried to give it time to see if it wiould go away on its own but it didn't go away soon enough for me. My doctor said Cortaid so I ran to CVS and it worked like a charm.

same here, my son had it about 3 weeks and it lasted about 1-2 weeks then cleared up on its own w/o using anything for it.

Yes my son had a HORRIBLE case of this for awhile actually... he had it for probably the first month and then it would sometimes look like it was going to come back after that ( he also has very sensative skin so everything needed to be washed in dreft)
Our dr. gave us a cream to put on it and it helped but didn't make it dissapear.

Nate has it also. It started around 2 weeks and is clearing up a little. He's 4 weeks now.

Rebecca had it too...I was so embarassed at first then everyone kept saying so many kids have it. It goes away quickly. I look at those first pics and see how perfect her skin is now!!

John had it, Baby Aveeno only made it worse, I used Baby Aquaphor and it cleared up quickly

OMG stefanie this happened to Logan!!! It was SO BAD!! People kept asking me if he had a rash!!! Poor baby. The doctor told me to just clean his face every day with a warm wash cloth.
It goes away around 6 weeks. He still gets a pimple every now and then, but nothing like in the beginning.

It's very common and my poor Kevin at 5 months still gets it pretty bad. He has periods where it lightened up but he still gets bad at times esp now that he is a drooling machine from teething and his face is constantly wet. I feel so bad for him. I also now use Cetaphil to was his face rather than baby soap. The dr said it will eventually pass. I feel like I have the ony 5 month old baby going thru puberty!
