Does your period get worse after you have your tubes tied??
I already have period issues, so I need to know if anyone experience heavier bleeding after having this procedure done. TIA

Everyone that I know that has had it done (which is only 3)has complained of heavier periods since. However I've asked several OB/Gyns about this and no one can offer me a medical explanation as to why.

I had my tubes tied during my c-section last September.
My period was always light and only about 3 days. It is still fairly light and is now about 5 days. I have had no other side effects at all.

I had mine done after my c/s last April and I would say they are about the same.

I had mine done Sept 2005 after my third c-section and for me my period is much heavier and lasts 7-10 days. Also I have really bad cramping / backache whereas before I never had any.

I had mine done in 2007 and my periods are 7-12 days long, REALLY heavy, and terrible cramps.

Sorry to hijack..but can i ask a question of those that periods got worse?
Did you have your tubes tied right after giving birth?
I only ask cause my periods dramatically changed after giving birth to both girls...it's only now 2 years later after the birth of my youngest they are starting to resemble what they once did.
I don't understand with what having your tubes tied, and what your uterus does have anything to do with each other? Can someone explain?
