UPDATE
First I want to say how touched I am to come here and see 6 pages of well wishes and some FMs of support. You are all amazing.

The MRI was normal and showed no growths, abnormalities, or malformations. Excellent news, and honestly what I was the most afraid of.

The EEG was normal at first glance, however when the Neurologist gave it a review for the 2nd & 3rd times, he discovered a very pronounced pattern to DS sleep cycle. It appears that the sleep cycle changes are so severe that it is arousing him partially from his sleep. The Neuro actually said that this happens a lot, but not all people who experience this will actually come to a partial arousal of sleep, hence the night terrors. He is expected to grow out of it, but we will continue to monitor his sleep periodically to be sure.

DS #1 (baby G) had to go for an MRI and an EEG study. He has been having awful night terrors during which he seems awake, but is not, will scream, yell, kick, and even walk. It sometimes takes up to an hour to get him completely calm and back into a deep sleep. It was happening every night, sometimes more than once a night.

Coupled with this, he also had 2 incidents where he got very hot and sweaty, then passed out, then came too with blue lips and clammy skin, and an extremely low temperature(94.1) rectal.

So we went to a pediatric neurologist at the recommendation of my ped, and he evaluated G and recommended these tests. He had the tests last Monday, and for anyone who is my friend on FB you may have seen the pics of G & DH in their *special hats.* The MRI is to r/o tumor or irregular growth in his brain, and the EEG is to r/o Epilepsy or other neurological dysfunction. DS had to be sedated through an IV for the MRI, and they placed 30 EEG leads on his head while he was out. We are awaiting the results and are meeting with the Ped Neurologist to discuss the findings.

Please throw a few our way for good results tomorrow, if you have a couple to spare. I hate to even ask with so many moms here needing so much support, but the thought of what they might tell me tomorrow is becoming a bit overwhelming to me.
