Julies mom is sick, very sick. I wrote a quick note to her on FB to let her know that I was thinking of her and that a lot of other people were too.
She responded to me, here is the gist of it.

i heard people on lif were asking but i really dont feel like talking (typing) about it =(
you can tell everybody that I am doing OK and am just trying to enjoy the time I have left with my mom.

I know Julie's family for a long time - not as a close acquaintance, but just as a "neighbor"... and I always admired how close they are and how they lean on each other to get through...
