Nunleys includes 25 kids. They have various themes...rough riders, wizard of oz, princess. It is around $400. You could pay for the 5 more if you need to. We did my DD's 4th bday and girls and boys loved it.

Hot shots west was $310 for 10 kids (bday kid free) the $15 per kid extra. The girls and boys loved it. They bring out bouncers too. That would cheaper than $800. If you invite 30 you are probably looking at about 20-25 kids. We had 24. So it was about $550.

I saw your post re: your DD's 4th - but they are booked through (they said they are reccomending 6 months in advance for private bookings!)

I am going to try the Cradle of Aviation museum though - they also so a Birthday party - Sean is into airplanes, not so much a fan of the carousel though Chat Icon

How many of the 30 are from school?

If you invite 30, you will probably have some No's. I would expect around 20-25.

We are inviting a total of 25 kids to DS's 4th bday party and I'm expecting 20. We are having it at home so we can absorb more but prefer less kids.

Would you do Chuck E Cheese?

We are going to our first tae kwon do party this weekend. Almost 4yo DS is really looking forward to it. His party is Ninjago themed.

You may want to check out the LICM or Once Upon a Treetop. We have been invited to a party there but White Post Farms is so much fun.

12 are from his class - the rest are family and friends. I could probably get it down to 25 invited.

Is White Post Farms good for 4 year olds? It's not too babyish?

I am not a Chuck E Cheese fan at all -

We live in the suburbs of DC now and many people here hire entertainment come to their homes.

The petting zoo that came to our friend's house was a huuuuuuge hit.

It is also popular to rent out a space (rec center, clubhouse, etc) and have the entertainment come there. Last weekend, we went to a country club princess tea party. You obviously wouldn't do that since you have boys but you could do super heroes or a magician.

I think White Post will be just as expensive if they even have availability.

Re: 4 Year Old's Birthday Party - w/ 30 Kids??

I don't have any ideas..but just wanted to say that it infuriates me how expensive these kiddle parties are...I had one for my DS when he turned 3 and it ended up being about $600..in my opinion that was a lot..last year no kiddie party..i'd love to have one this year, but he has soo many kids in his class that it would end up costing me a small fortune.i wish there were places that even just offered a huge room with a party coordinater who had a bunch of organized games and some tables for food for $10 a kid..why is it so impossible to find!
Good luck with your search.

California Pizza Kitchen is like $10 a kid. They do it before the restaurant opens to the public. They make pizza and sundaes and take a tour of the kitchen.

Saf T Swim is $375 for 24 kids
