OUR birth story (Liz and Ron)
Wow it went so fast. My birth was everything I wanted it to be. My water broke at 930 AM after a crampy restless night. No real contractions for awhile. I walked one mile on my treadmill at 4pm. then layed down for a nap from 5-630. Contractions started about 645 but no real big deal. Went to stonybrook as my midwife suggested (8pm) to get checked. she said I was a finger tip and that I could stay or go. SO we went home. got there about 945. Contractions were really low (below my belly button) but I did not want to chance it coming back in lot of pain so we came right back. Got in at about 11. I never used my Labor bag. I was 9 CM. Midwife told I would be pushing within the next contraction. I was nervous and did not try to hard. then pushed about 6 times and out SHE came. 6lbs 13 0z 19 inches. Beautiful little girl. It happened so fast. I stayed in my labor room about 2 hours. At about 2 I came to my room that I am at now. Christina ( my 18 year old) cut the cord. Ron is holding our little girl. Jennifer Lynn.
