Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

my weight loss is moving very, very slowly, but i'm happy that it continues and that i'm getting stronger!!

i now crossed another threshold!!
i am officially out of the 150s... FINALLY!

as of this morning, i weigh 149.6!!
inching along!!
getting under 150 was a big milestone in my tracking that gets a reward. i will be buying myself those white pants for the spring/summer!!

i think i'll go shopping tomorrow after work! yay me!

My weight loss is also moving slowly but it's going! I went on Friday to my doctor's office, and was really surprised when I stepped on the scale as it was 4 lbs less than the one I have at home. I'm basing my weight loss on my home scale but it was nice to see being more lbs down lol. Officially I am almost 15 lbs down.

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

Today is my last weigh in for the first quarter of 2019 - crazy its moving so fast.

Weight loss has slowed down, but I'm still plugging along. Lost 25 pounds of the 50 of my goal. I'm hoping to be thru the last 25 by September. 15 more pounds and I'll be a normal BMI!

I've also started the process to get the excess skin on my trunk removed.

How is everyone else doing?

Posted by Blazesyth

My immediate goal is to lose the remaining 50 pounds to be a 'normal' BMI.

I’m doing really well. I gained a few pounds, so I’m happy. I was 110 and now I’m 116. I have my appetite back, but I need to make my food choices a bit healthier now, so I can maintain properly.

that is absolutely awesome!

the speed at which you continue to lose can slow down as you get closer to your goal. just make sure you continue to drink water and sleep enough!

yay!!

my initial reaction when reading this was to be a little jealous of needing to gain weight, but at the end of the day we all just want to be healthy.

so happy that you're somewhere happier with your weight!

I’m sorry. I didn’t want it to sound like that. It’s just that my anxiety has caused me to lose too much weight and my doctor was a bit concerned about an eating disorder. I just think both ends of the spectrum are similar. I’ve been trying so hard for 1+ years to gain weight. It’s finally working.

No no. I'm sorry if I made it sound like your post was "bad" in any way. I was trying to say the same thing you just said. That both ends is a struggle and they are both real.

We sometimes get hung up on our own issues that we forget that others have their own struggle.

I really am happy that you're finding health!!

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

i am still working hard on my push ups.

i was so happy when i was able to do 10 push ups on my toes! yay. i had my son take a small video of it, so i can show proof to my cousin. as i watched the little video clip, i realized that my form could use some improvement.

so now, i am working on improving my form... which means i can no longer to 10 push ups. it's so much harder when you're doing them right. i'm up to 7 improved push ups.

i'm bringing my arms in and working more on using the back of my arms. ouch!

i'm also back to running. week 5 of c25k.

the funny thing is that i've gained weight. as of sunday, i had re-gained 6 pounds. i'm slowly chipping away at those 6 and i'm back down 3, so today i'm up a net 3. oy. well, it's no longer a "diet," this is the rest of my life... 6 pounds is not the end of the world.

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

I did the Spartan Race again this past weekend. Of course I didn't lose as much weight as I wanted lol but I beat my time from last year by 40 minutes !!!! I couldn't believe it!!
My trainer kicked my ass the past few months and it definitely worked.

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

my financial goals are going to have to slow down a bit.

i've been pushing hard on paying off my debt and i'm making progress. yay me.
but along the way, i stopped going to the gym... with the purpose of throwing more money at my last hospital bill (now under $700).
in the time that i've been working out at home, i've learned that i suck at working out at home all by myself. i am making a conscious decision to slow down my debt just a little for the sake of joining a gym/class again.

there is a small, independent gym a couple of blocks from my house. they offer all sorts of classes and are reasonably priced. i am willing to sacrifice $40/month for the sake of getting back into a gym environment.
i'm too social and slightly competitive. i feed off the vibe of the group. this solo stuff is not for me.

i want to get back to lifting weights; which i don't have at home.

on a positive note: my running is getting better. i'm concentrating on stretching and rolling out the kinks. i am running pain free for the first time in years! yay.

I've gained 10 pounds back over the past 2 months. :( On the plus side, I REAAALY wanted to go out for lunch today but I forced myself to eat the lunch I brought so I wouldn't eat as many calories and save some money.

Not much of an "accomplishment" but I'm back to having to celebrate the small victories until I get my motivation back. :)

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

finally, turning things around.

in late march i was at my lowest weight (146.4). since then, i have steadily increased my weight to a high of 153.6. i was feeling defeated and hated myself. i just couldn't get myself out of my funk.

i decided to join a gym and get a trainer for the accountability and for the expertise. clearly my at-home workouts in my pajamas weren't cutting it and i was allowing myself to "sneak" naughty foods back into my life.

i also decided to read. i read "the obesity code" and was blown away by the information about insulin.

on monday night i decided to give intermittent fasting a shot.
i am happy to say that after only my first 16-hr fast, i have lost 1.8!!

wow.
i will continue to give IF a shot to see what happens... but most of all, i'm so happy that my brain is starting to shift into a much more positive place regarding my abilities to make this happen.

today, i am 15.6 pounds away from my ultimate weight loss goal. i am working with a trainer who understands my goals... not just weigh, but the strength i want to develop. i'm feeling good!

To finally put my health as a priority. I have to lose at least 20 lbs to get to a healthy weight. Planning on starting WW this weekend, in the past when I have stuck with it, it had worked for me.

I am now down over 21 lbs! Can't believe I did it, although it was slow going. So no longer considered "overweight", however, would like to lose another 9 lbs or so to get to my personal goal.

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

Im down 7 pounds. I started a 6-week challenge at a local kickboxing place. I LOVE it, what a great workout. Im hoping it will give me a boost into toning more and keeping the pounds off. I was getting tired of the gym.
