Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

I DID PUSH UPS, TODAY!!!!!

they weren't IG worthy, but they were done. i don't know how many i did, but i did them.

today's circuit was upper body. at each station, we were to do three push ups before the exercise for that station. i did some on my knees... no biggie. when i got to the station that was far from the mat, i didn't want to be on my knees, so i gave it a try.

i didn't go all the way down, i would say about half way. i did them. then later on i did them again. then i went back and forth throughout the entire circuit... some on my knees, some on my toes.

i can't believe i did it!!!!
my shoulders, arm, chest are killing me, now. typing is not fun. BUT I DID IT.

yay me!

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

My goal is to lose the baby weight and get back to where I was before baby #3. I’ve lost some of it, but have a long way to go. It has gotten harder to lose the weight with each pregnancy even though I was much smaller at the beginning of my last pregnancy and was active throughout it. I’ll be 40 this year and I want to feel comfortable in my own skin again.

I’d also like to get back to running again and maybe do a few races.

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

My short term goal of not being a complete bloated mess for my nieces super sweet 16 this weekend is on track! I have been working out every day, eating mindfully with almost no added sodium in anything. I also made my famous "Debloat soup" (It's just a veggie soup heavy on the cabbage) and have replaced 1 meal a day with that soup. The scale moved a couple of pounds this week but it's not about that right now. I am definitely smaller. And most importantly, my belly & face arent as puffy.

Of course V day is tonight and we have dinner plans. Have to try and make good choices and get back on the soup train for tomorrow. Plus we have dinner plans again Saturday - again, hoping for a steakhouse or something so I can get a protein and veggie. Sunday can't come soon enough!!! lol

I have been on WW since 1/6 and so far down 7 lbs. I am trying to get to 10 lbs by 3/6 this way I can get 2 months refund but it has been slow going, my last few weeks have been less than a lb... I realize any loss is good though.

i did the 6-week, 20-pound challenge at "the camp." to help you reach the goal, they have a "kick in the pants" eating plan for the last week. if you search on pinterest for "FTDI tilapia and asparagus" you'll get recipe ideas. it's a form of going low/no carb for the last few days.

definitely not sustainable for the long term!! but if you are looking for a quick hit for the scale to give you a particular number, it might help.

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

because i want to get my ass out of debt, i will no longer be going to The Camp. it's not crazy expensive, but i want to get out from under my debt.

for the next four weeks i'm going to workout at home. if i like it, i'll keep at it and buy a few items to workout with. if it doesn't work for me, i'll join a local gym at a fraction of the cost.

wish me luck.

Good luck! I actually just purchased beachbody on demand to workout at home. It is $100 for a year and you have access to various beachbody workouts.

So I completed my 21 day fix and moved on to 30day shred but it feels not as challenging. I am going to jump into level 3 and see how I feel. I guess the 21day fix exercises made me stronger after all! I also have Beachbody on demand and like that you have access to all of their videos.

Ingredients :
Olive oil - about a tablespoon
Onion
Garlic
Celery
Carrots
Cabbage
Zucchini
Green beans
Broccoli
No sodium chicken bouillon - iuse HerbOx Brand - gives it nice flavor without all the salt
Can of diced tomatoes - I like the basil & garlic flavored one
Salt & paper

I sautée the onion, garlic, celery & carrot in olive oil - soften a bit. Then I throw in the cabbage and mix it around in there. Add a few packets of the chicken bouillon and then 12 cups of water. Then I add all the rest of the veggies and the can of tomatoes. I bring to a boil and then simmer until they get to the softness I like.

That’s it. You can add any veggies you like. I would stay away from beans and corn or peas because it adds carbs.

I eat a bowl of it for lunch with a teaspoon of grated cheese in it. And at dinner, I add 4 oz of chicken breast and the teaspoon of cheese for extra flavor and saltiness.

It’s really delicious

i've done the "cabbage soup diet" a couple of times in the past. the recipe is very similar to what is posted above. i thought it was a great tasting soup.

i've made it without being on a "diet" because i just like it.

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

i finally lost a pound!!!!

since i've been working on resistance exercises and working on getting stronger, my weight loss has slowed down to almost a complete halt.

granted, i have noticed that i've lost inches. so i'm totally happy. but the fact that the scale hadn't moved was bugging me.

today, the scale finally caught up to the rest of what is going on!!

i am very happy to say that today i weigh 151.4 pounds!! i am exactly 16.6 pounds away from my all-time, ultimate weight loss goal! my next goal is to get the "pounds to go" down to 15. woo hoo!!

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

Last November I hurt my Achilles on a bike ride. Been trying to fix it myself but no good.

So off to the doctor I went, who of course sent me to PT. PT said stop exercising for a few weeks maybe it will calm it down a bit.

I was so sad and mad that they put me on rest. I was tearing up about it.

WHO HAVE I BECOME?

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

I’m very happy with my goals. I weighed under 110 lbs, but I’m now 112. I have gained weight, so that makes me happy.

I just need to put on some muscle. I try to walk everywhere. I get off the bus early and do extra walking. I think I need to get more strength training in.

Re: 2019 Accomplishments and Goals

YAY!!!

i have officially lost 30 pounds, on the mark, since the end of october. i started this little journey wanting a short-term fix to look cute for SO's birthday party back in december.

i am very happy to have found phit n phat along the way. i am now doing this for the rest of my life because this way of living, eating, and moving is something i can do for the rest of my life.

i haven't run in almost two years... since that morning that a man jumped out from behind a truck at me.

my reward for reaching this milestone is to buy myself a new pair of running shoes to get back to running.

i am now 16.2 pounds away from my ultimate weight loss goal!

it might take me a long time, but i'm ok with that!

I am down 12 lbs so far, so it is going slow but at least the scale is going in the right direction. I have 8 lbs to go to get to a "normal" weight for my height, and 19 lbs to go to get to my goal.

12 pounds is a good amount of weight!!
way to go!

i have found that slow weight loss is the best, you've developed habits that are more likely to keep the weight off.
