Does anyone have this? Do you feel it’s a dated trend or not?

Personally I think it will be dated sooner than later, however, I did go to a decorator show home and the showed it. Also, my good friend is redoing her kitchen with that style. My personal feeling is you do what you enjoy. If you are keeping it for 20 years make yourself happy.

I think it’s really hard to pull off and doesn’t appeal to the masses. If you love it and are planning on staying, sure. If it was to re-sell at some point, I’d advise against it.

We did it last year. I'm often behind the times so it's probably on the way out lol. I don't really care though. I like how it came out and no matter what we do now it will be dated by the time I'm selling.

Mind sharing what colors you chose? And what color countertop did you go with?

I only have a different color island & over the stove hood to match. But I also have a small kitchen. if I had a big sprawling kitchen, I would definitely consider it.
I don't care about what's "in". I care about what appeals to me. Do what you like!

We did white uppers, gray bottoms, and white quartz counters. We have a pretty small and very much not gourmet kitchen but I love it.

When we were house hunting I saw several kitchens with a mismatched island and it drove me absolutely insane.
I think it will be dated soon. However, I like lots of "dated" things so I say do what makes you happy!

It may become dated, but my thought is if you like it who cares, as long as it's not orange or avocado colored
My mom did her kitchen last year and she did all the cabinets white but the island gray and it looks really nice.

not a fan. However, I do like when all the cabinets are one color, and you do an island and range hood that are different colors. I've seen beautiful kitchens with gray cabinets and navy islands and range hoods. It looks really cool!

If you are selling in the next few years then do something that appeals to the masses. If you plan on staying in your house for a while, do what you love.
