2 babies fall from windows here in CT within 24 hours
So sad...
7 month old Boy
2 year old
I hardly watch the news anymore, gotta be careful with those screens and open windows.

i was on that one too. But according to the news cast here, the parents bed was right next to the window and the mom turned away for a minute and the baby tumbled out.
My DD started crawling at 8.5-9 months old and she could def crawl over my leg or me.
DCF was called to investigate if it was neglect or an accident.
I shed tears for those poor babies last night and this am watching the broadcast. Poor babies.

so sad and scary, to answer your Q , yest 7 month old can crawl over people, my DD could, the other Q I have is , if the baby crawled over the parents didn't they feel it ? (even if they were asleep)

yes. My first DD could have easliy done that at 7 months. My 7 month DD now wouldn't be able to though.

I saw that and I aslo saw on dateline or one of those where a 2 year old down south fell 30 feet and walked away unharmed.
They say if you have the windows that open from the top down as well as bottom up, to open it top down, this way your child won't be able to push on the screen and fall out.
I have been doing that on every second floor window we have when it is open.
