granite remnants

i heard it's a cheaper way to go with granite. has anyone ever done this?

i was hoping to find a whole piece, thoses seams drive me nuts, but it might be something i have to live with. i have a small kitchen in my condo so i don't need a lot. that's why i'm hoping i can find some remnants a little cheaper.

We haven't done it yet but we are redoing our 2nd bathroom and we going to put a granite top in the bathroom nd we were told by the guy at home depot that this is a cheapier way to get granite. I don't know if there are pieces that would be big enough for a kitchen counter but you might get lucky. I don't think it would hurt to go to a granite place and see what they have--GOOD LUCK

The piece of granite I want is not easy to find but they have it for about $45 psf installed.

Lowe's had a very traditional color for $79 psf installed.
