Except that the last administration didn't hastily withdraw from a volatile situation leaving hundreds of Americans and thousands of American allies stranded. Except the last administration didn't hastily make a decision that caused 13 American servicemen/women lives and hundreds of innocent Afghanis lives. The last administration had a president that was able to string together coherent sentences, not lie in front of the press and blatantly throw his administration under the the bus. But, but but...no more mean tweets. GTFOH! It's truly sad how many people defend and make themselves so blinded to the current administration twisting themselves into pretzels trying to justify Biden and his cohorts. The hypocrisy is unbelievable.
I guess you must have slept through the entire four years of Trump's term. Blatant lies were a daily occurrence for him and ALWAYS passing the blame. Your comments just prove my statement.
And for the record my comment didn't mention Biden at all so not really sure how that defend him?

. But the last administration did. The last administration signed a treaty and released 5000 Taliban prisoners and drew down troops from 13k to 2500. And, why didn’t the last administration end the war that they promised to and signed a treaty for? This is not the best example to compare the Trump adm to the Biden administration and claim how much better Trump was. He started this dumpster fire and then washed his hands of it. No one administration is to blame for this.
I also don’t know what would have been better? Leaving everyone there past the deadline with no support and at complete mercy to the Taliban or should Biden have sent in thousands of service personnel and military?
ETA: We wouldn’t have mean tweets regardless since Trump is banned. If he wasn’t, we would still have mean tweets

Trump pandered to Russia/Putin and to China. He was controlled is many ways. Just because he yells doesn't mean he is saying or doing anything important.
ETA: If Trump was so strong and stood up - why didn't he end the war in Afghanistan as he promised he would? Why did he kick the can down the road to the next administration? If he could have done such a better job - why didn't he then?

Trump couldn’t even stop an insurrection from his radical followers and secure his own Capitol building. Where a Capitol officer died. And now are committing suicide left and right. His own VP was trapped. Our own people. He left behind his own coworkers.
I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have been able to secure Afghanistan or gotten everyone out safely.

Weeks after the Taliban took control of Kabul, hundreds of Americans remain stranded in Afghanistan, including dozens of students from the Sacramento area.
The family and friends of two young girls who traveled from California to Afghanistan in July have been doing everything they can to help bring them home safely.
“They went to Afghanistan because of their dad’s funeral and they really need help,” said Fatima Akbari, a friend of one of the girls currently stuck in Afghanistan.
The older sister of the two girls said they’re staying with their mother at a family member’s home in Kabul. She has been communicating with them by phone, but they relayed to her that they’re unable to return safely because of threats from the Taliban.
“She said to me all airport closed because the Taliban in Afghanistan,” said Behshta.
Officials with the San Juan Unified School District in Sacramento confirmed a total of 29 students are stuck in Afghanistan and they’re doing everything they can to help them. No, it's a good reason to be there but again, if you travel to a level 4 Do Not Travel area - you have to take some responsibility for the consequences of those actions.
If you run into a burring house after the firemen tell you it's going to fall and it's not safe and you may get stuck there - you can't blame anyone but yourself if you run in to that house and have a negative outcome.

The Taliban took over because after the deal was made that EXCLUDED the actual Afghan government the provincial leaders saw the writing on the wall and made deals with the Taliban to save their own heads. They had already started to fold before Biden even took office. It was just a matter of when. And don't even get me start on all the Taliban he had released. What a joke.
Trump sold us out. I applaud exiting Afghanistan but NOT the way he did it. Biden was in a no win situation. I don't claim it was all done perfectly but I am relieved to be out of a twenty year war.
Now we as an international community need to hold Afghanistan accountable the way we should hold all dictatorships accountable.
