Re: Thiose with DC with BAD seasonal allergies
I just posted something similar yesterday. I'm at my wits end and would love to just put him in a bubble but I know I cant. I just hate seeing him suffer like this Hopefully things get better very soon. I keep trying to remind myself that by memorial day he was fine

Re: Thiose with DC with BAD seasonal allergies
Yeah and Texas has even MORE pollen and allergens.
But we just dose her up and hope for the best.
Thankfully I use the heat as an excuse and take her indoors. We have a ton of fun indoor places here (due to the heat) So she's not left out. Spring and Fall we just suffer though.
Even the backyard slide we have will be too much after awhile but the girl HAS to go outside, right?

Re: Thiose with DC with BAD seasonal allergies
WE've been dealing with this for 4 years now. DS eyes swell shut, he breaks out in hives on any exposed skin that comes into contact with pollen. Yes, unfortunately, we keep him inside while everything is blooming. If we do go outside, its never without longs pants, a hat and sunglasses to protect as much as possible. We come indoors and he immediately gets washed down and his clothes changed.
No shoes in the house by anyone, air filters running throughout the house, windows closed.
DS is on Claritin, Benadryl, Pataday (eye drops), nasonex and singulair and it barely helps, but Id hate to see him without it all.
Hang in there, while the trees or blooming, its the worst part!

Re: Thiose with DC with BAD seasonal allergies
my son will be 4 in July and the last few days have been the first time his eyes have reacted like this.
This afternoon he was playing on the slide in the backyard and then shaking a tree and his eyes swelled shut. He wouldn't stop rubbing them. It was awful. I had just bought claritin this morning so I gave him some of that. Then I called the ped because I got scared and they said to get xadador. So DH went out to get that.
3 hours later and they still look bad but at least he can open them. Actually, one of them just had yellow gook coming out of it? Is that normal for allergies?
We're going to the ped tomorrow to get pataday for his eyes and then I'm going to take him to the allergist.
Looks like we're staying it for now too. That was too scary!
