Homeowner’s Tax Rebate check
Has anyone else received a Homeowners Tax Rebate check lately? It says it will help you pay your taxes. Is this because my mortgage is ready to be increased for taxes?

I just got it too. I think all homeowners in NY will get it. They will raise taxes on something else to pay for it I'm sure

I trust nothing. Lol. Last year they gave us money back from escrow and then proceeded to say you can either pay that same amount or increase your mortgage. It was like, what???? Lol

How do you know if you’re Eligible for one? I haven’t heard of this

yeah - well thanks Hochul for my $170+. It sure will make it easier to pay my $12K tax bill this year.

That's what my DH said! He said, oh look she's trying to buy votes with the elections coming up- I guess she's planning to raise our property taxes to pay for this "tax rebate"

They always go up anyway so better just to hold the money as I am sure something will happen that we will need it

I'd give it a few days/weeks- they are probably going out at different times.

I think they said this is in addition to STAR
If you qualify for STAR and make less than $250K combined you are eligible for this

Yes you are correct. We got our check on Friday.
