OMG still going on with trump when your president is doing things that you would crucify trump for.

Have you come out of your safe place and seen what’s going on outside!??

The will forever blame Trump because they don't want to face how terrible this administration they voted for is...

Deflect..that's what they do best.

I think a person can be critical of things under both administrations simultaneously. To try to decertify an election almost a year into a presidency and while there’s an ongoing criminal investigation is a big reach and notable.

Ignore it like everyone is ignoring the mess of the President now who voted for him.

It’s not notable it’s fluff. Biden’s administration has been a dumpster fire of incompetence.

In my opinion It would be fluff if 74% of Republican voters didn’t believe that it was a stolen election from Trump.

This tactic casts doubt on all elections moving forward and is a problem for everyone.

But you won't admit that this was a BAD decision to have Biden and Harris in. You just want to keep talking about Trump.
Why? If you are so confident in your decision then you wouldn't even bother listening to any story with him in it and move on.

The rule here is if you don’t like something, don’t read it, right? I believe Trump will attempt to run for President again so I prefer to stay on top of news that comes out.

You didn’t agree with every thing Trump did just as I don’t agree with every thing Biden does. You still prefer Trump over Biden and I prefer Biden to Trump.

That is okay. Not everyone has to or will agree. I think we both agree that we’d prefer better candidates to select from the next go-around.

You mean the same tactics dems used by shouting Russian interference for years? I agree-that is problematic for everyone. That was just as damaging. I don’t agree with Trump’s method but c’mon.

You cannot compare the two situations. At all. Trump actively tried to undermine, STEAL and lie about the election. His lawlessness knows NO bounds and it's honestly shocking to hear the lengths that a sitting president went through in order to subvert democracy and keep himself in office. He did everything from bribery, to threatening, to coercing to bullying everyone around him to lie and steal for him. It's absolutely disgusting and quite honestly, he belongs in jail for his actions along with his role in the Jan 6th insurrection AND all of his tax fraud.

But there was some interference. Democrats aren’t saints. They for sure are not and can be very hypocritical (pointing recently at Newsom and the mayor who was at a party without masks and Obama’s party). They are prone to similar issues as the bad apples in the Republican Party.

I think we would agree that the majority of politicians are egomaniacs who are self-serving.

But as far as Russia, two GOP operatives were just indicted for funneling money in 2016 to the campaign. 25k, not a whole lot and separate from the special investigation but troublesome nonetheless. I don’t think any operatives on any campaign should be doing that let alone a candidate nodding to them with “Russia, if you’re listening …” and asking for favors to help beat their opponent. Wasn’t a fan of her, either, but I still don’t like that tactic. I also don’t like calling in states to decertify elections when it’s been almost a year. It’s just not normal (to me.)

Yes-i can absolutely agree that the majority of politicians aren’t altruistic individuals. And I am not the person who will die on a mountaintop defending our last President. I disliked his demeanor and thought he was his own worst enemy while I agreed with a lot of his policies. But to continue to bring up Trump just hi-lights the hypocrisy. When you quote 7-odd% of republicans who believe the last election was stolen I think that number represents a large portion of the population who believes the media manipulated stories to suppress certain truths-not that ballots were literally stolen. I fall into that category. Look at the Hunter Biden story, for instance. Not only is it true (we know now by his own admissions) but it was removed by the internet and the NYP was banned on Twitter. There were threads on this very board applauding its removal because it was “fake news”.

I post less lately but FWIW I'm with you.

It's notable because he is the frontrunner for the 2024 [eta Repub] nomination at the moment.

He is at the helm of a party that is actively working to dismantle our democratic institutions because it is the only way for them to stay in power.

It's frightening and with all the voter suppression laws it's going to get worse.

It's the filibuster or America. We can't have both.
