Covid Testing to Come Back to US
If you need Covid testing to fly back to the US from your vacay, I highly recommend buying the Emed/Navica tests online that you self administer in front of a proxy who watches you on your phone/computer camera. There are NOT the ones sold at Walmart and Walmart, etc. They are sold at emed.com in packs of 6 or Optum in smaller quantities (I purchased 3 so we would have one extra in case we needed it but didn't) and run about $30 each. It's a rapid antigen test. The whole thing takes about 20 minutes. So much better than seeking out a place to test, or carving time out of your day at your hotel to test with their doctors. They email you the results in PDF form 5 minutes after they read your results, and you present it to the airline at check in. We flew Jetblue from Costa Rica, did the test the day before our flight, showed the PDF at check in and was on our way. So easy!

It was AMAZING!! We spent 4 nights in the rainforest at Amor Arenal (gorgeous place so romantic, our own casita with a hot tub/pool on the desk), and 3 nights at Playa Flamingo at The Palms (got it on VRBO)..gorgeous beach. The people were SO friendly, everything SO CLEAN. They have sinks to wash your hands before you enter restaurants and even before entering Liberia airport! My only complaint was the roads. My god, I was nauseous haha! So scary in the mountain, in the dark, in the rain. But, we laugh about it now!

I just looked at your Insta. Awesome pics! I love Costa Rica so much. We've been a few times and can't wait to go back. Arenal is one of my favorite areas

I wish I had known about this! I’m on a flight home now for a funeral but I left my family in Costa Rica and will be going back on Saturday for another 8 days! I wish I had enough time to order them. Is there any where to buy them in a store?

The ones they sell in the store are not the ones you can use for travel, even though they look similar. The drugstore ones don't have access to the live testing proctor. You can order from emed and they will overnight them to you from what I read!
