Laser hair removal UPDATED
UPDATE:
Had my first appointment and no redness or swelling. 2 passes. First I didn’t feel much. Second I felt little pinches and warm sensation. After, I felt a little burn feeling like I do after waxing. But it lasted maybe 30 minutes. But looking at me, you would never know I had it done.
Next appt in 4 weeks!
For those of you that have had it on your upper lip, what do you do to keep from having a full stashe while getting the treatments? You can’t pluck , wax or use hair removing cream. Someone said they shave and I almost shit just thinking about doing that with a razor and shaving cream.
Maybe that flawless thing? I knows it’s still sorta shaving but with a little electric one. Maybe it won’t scar me for life lol
What does everyone do?

Yes you can use this or the other thing you mentioned but it's pretty much the same as a razor- and a razor will get closer.
But these are safer too- you can't cut yourself

How many sessions did it take to work?
And how was your skin after each session? My friend had her cheeks done and she said her face was very red for like an entire day and that the 6 sessions she bought wasn’t enough
I don’t want to have a red skin stache for too long after each session

I don’t want to have a red skin stache for too long after each session
I did almost everything, upper lip, chin, armpits, whole legs and deep bikini. For all I did 6 sessions. Hair grows at different speed, so I was going accordingly. I started with legs first and then added the others. I never had a reaction, only for my legs I once got very itchy and applied aloe vera, as my technician suggested. I', starting to get some hair here and there, but nothing compared to how I was before, when I had to shave my legs daily. I wax my upper lip once a year, but that's only because when I go to my home country is very cheap, not that I "really need it". I had all this done around 5 or 6 years ago.

Laser hair removal
I had my upper lip done and didn’t really need to do any upkeep in between sessions. I was only a little red for maybe an hour or less after each session.

I'm three sessions in right now (bought a 6 session package). It's made a big difference so far, but the hair is not completely gone yet. I tend to have reactive skin, but haven't had any reaction to the laser.
I use the Flawless thing or this, which for me works better than the Flawless:

I just did my 4th treatment last month on my upper lip. I get a little red, but it goes away in like an hour. The first couple of times didn't hurt, but they make the light stronger on the 3rd and beyond. It hurts like a MOFO! Gives me tears in my eyes. I find that the hair all falls out in about 10 days. Slow regrowth, and then I use the flawless thing. I'm so hairy, I can't stand it. I need to do my chin hairs next, but I don't want to have to shave those in between, I usually pluck!

Thanks for all of the replies.
I made my appointment for the 14th, bought the flawless razor thing and tried it out on my arm lol it def took the hair off to the skin. Was a little uncomfortable (I’m sensitive in general) but I’m hoping it’ll do the trick. They told me to shave the day before so I’m sporting a small stashe now. I know I can shave from now but I want to make sure it really grew back in from my last wax and hair cream remover so my first appt isn’t a waste
I’m Not looking forward to when I starts to hurt. I’ve heard that too... that it gets more intense as the appts go on. Hope I can power through lol
I have a few hairs that grow under my bottom lip and on the bottom of my chin. I’ll see how this lip thing goes and then see if they’ll do those 2 spots with another 6 session package. It’s not enough to do at the moment but I know it’ll get there soon enough. Oh how I love my 40’s

Isn't it fun to be in your 40's? I feel like botox on my forehead is next for me, ha!

Isn't it fun to be in your 40's? I feel like botox on my forehead is next for me, ha!
