credit score and credit monitoring??
i've been watching my credit score through credit karma for a bit. according to them, my credit is about 650-ish.
this past weekend, i had to have my credit score run. it came back at 730.
what's up with that?
is credit monitoring not accurate?
i'm quite confused.
i'm also happy that the discrepancy is a positive one, but confused.

I have accounts with Chase and Amex and they both let me check my score as often as i want. If you have those maybe click their links and see what comes up to compare

credit karma is not giving you a FICO score. They use a score called Vantage. It's a different scoring model than FICO and not as widely used. Chase's Credit Journey uses it too.
For a true FICO score you can check for free, I believe Discover lets you check your score even without a credit card.
FICO scores and Vantage scores are very different. Most lenders use FICO scores. I don't know of any that use Vantage.
