Birthday party tipping

Curious how much everyone tips the teens who help with birthday parties. We are having a party at an inflatables place. There will be 2 party hosts for the hour and 45 minute party.

Re: Birthday party tipping

Depends upon number of kids and how much they actually do. $20 to 40 was my go to about 8-5 years ago. However, I will never forget this one place a I had it at when my kids were young. There was one girl who was the party helper and did an amazing job, so I gave her $60. There was another woman sitting at the front desk, doing nothing. She did not help at the party at all. Just sat at the desk while the other girl busted her butt and did everything to make the party a success. At the end of the party she asked me where her tip was, and btw she expected $100. I flat out said what did you do for the party? She was like well I sat here to make sure no one came in. No one came in because the sign says closed for parties. The hours on the website and the door say closed. So no one is coming. I called her out on her BS. Turns out she was not an employee, just the older sister of the employee who did the work and tried to scam me. I will never forget that experience.

We gave $20 each. We had 2 as well. They really went above and beyond to make sure him and his friends had the best time. We had his at a gymnastics place.

Re: Birthday party tipping

I would say $20 and up would be appropriate based on if you are happy.
