Cold brew coffee-?

I’m not usually an iced coffee person
99.5% of the time, I’m drinking hot coffee. That I make at home

I don’t like dunkin

At Starbucks I either get the blonde roast or the occasional foufy not-really-coffee drinks maybe twice a year

But I needed to try cold brew and see what the hype is all about

So I went to dunkin. I had a gift card there and it was literally right in front of me. And it sucked. To me, it tasted no different than their regular iced coffee. Which I don’t like

Lol

I’m going to try it at Starbucks too but what do you guys think of it? Is it That different from regular iced coffee?

It didn’t taste any sweeter or less acidic to me. Unless maybe the kid at the register gave me regular iced coffee but I don’t think so cuz he went and got it from some fridge under the counter...?

I’ve never had it at Dunkin but I love it. I like the sail away and the individual cans from Trader Joe’s. I do find it less acidic for sure.

Yes, the cold brew at Starbucks is good. I don’t like Dunkin coffee in general. My DH loves the Nitro cold brew at Starbucks.

Dunkin sucks in general. I bet their cold brew is no different than their regular iced.
Try the Nitro Cold Brew at Starbucks.
If you like cream and a little sweet, try the Vanilla Sweet Cream cold brew there. So yummy.

I'd suggest giving the salted cream cold foam cold brew at Starbucks a try. When it's made properly, it's amazing.

I do think cold brew tastes different from iced coffee, not necessarily massively, but perhaps a bit richer and deeper. I haven't had Dunkin's cold brew though; I'm more of a Starbucks girl.

I only like it from Trader Joe’s. The concentrate and I add chocolate almond milk. Yum.

Re: Cold brew coffee-?

Cold brew should be smoother and less acidic than regular coffee.
The cold brewing process cuts down on the acid content by a lot.
When DH used to have GERD issues he said the cold brew never bothered him as much as regular coffee.
You should be able to taste that difference as well- it's less bitter.

Have you tried the cans? They have changed my mornings. Its the perfect amount, pour some half and half in and out the door.

Cold brew coffee-?

Make it at home with Stone Street coffee.

I went from adding in cream and sugar to drinking this black. It needs nothing.

I think unless you go to a mom-and-pop coffee shop Dunkin and Starbucks don’t make it correctly. At least not the ones near my house.

you can google and you tube how to make it. It's very easy- you just need a few supplies like a large glass jar-we have one with a spiggot to dispense from- and a mesh bag etc.

We used this method. He grinds his own coffee- we just buy pre-ground. The video shows you the steps

I only drink cold brew black. In general, I drink my iced coffee with milk and Splenda, but not cold brew. You really need to taste the coffee to get the "effect" of it. Otherwise, I agree - it's not much different than regular iced coffee.

Cold brew coffee-?

Dunkin’ coffee is terrible. It always tastes watered down

I make cold brew at home and it tastes way better than any coffee you get from Dunkin’ or Starbucks.
