Spinoff: Amazon Limit Restriction
So apparently Amazon cancels people’s prime membership if you exceed the limit quantity for an item. They don’t even investigate they just shut it down right away. Yesterday I ordered the Dyson Vacuum, 2-fire sticks, and 3 other things. My order was at 360.00. Instead of Amazon just cancelling the one fire stick they cancel the entire order for a $15 item. I tried replacing the order with only one fire stick and it wouldn’t go through. The dumbest thing I’ve ever seen and they cancel our prime membership.
I had to call customer service and then place each order separately while she submitted each transaction to fraud. Amazon is such a huge corporation and they can’t enable their site to restrict you from exceeding the qty limit. I also didnt see the restriction labeled on their site. The rep wasn’t even sure if it was the two fire sticks or the fact that I ordered multiple deal of the day items.
Sorry it’s long but wanted to post as an FYI, because it wasn’t clear to me that there was a limit since I’ve never shopped Prime Day before.

they probably were protecting them selves from losing money just in case it was fraud.

I totally get it but If you are going to go through those measures and flag two items in a cart or a second $15 item as fraud then they should beef up their site or be explicit on it at the very least. Even the customer service person was confused.
ETA: at the end of the day Amazon customer service was fast and super helpful. I was partially venting and posting for awareness. Lol

Wow I purchased two amazon echo's... I hope I don't have a similar issue. I didn't notice anything about purchase limits.

I got the email pretty quick, as long as you get the second confirmation email you should be good.

i do know that big sales create system glitches and couponers go crazy and bombard sites. maybe there was a glitch on one (or multiple) items that were in your cart and they assumed you were one of the crazy couponers.
i'm sorry that you had to deal with that stupid headache.
