Deodorant for kids?
DD has been complaining her arm pits smell when she sweats. I smelled them and to be honest, I don't really smell anything- certainly not an adult BO smell like my pits get if I don't wear my deodorant  - but she is insisting it bothers her.
She's almost 9. Do kids start wearing deodorant that early?
If so, what kind?
I know aluminum free, but there are so many and when I tried a "natural" one (Native) it made my armpits itch like crazy and gave me a rash.
I see Dove makes an aluminum free one now.
They also have a Tom's of Maine kids.
Does it matter as long as they don't contain aluminum?
I feel like there are still chemicals in them.

I’ve heard good things about Lume. I think you can only buy it online.

I like the Tom's natural stuff. So far it works for my 12 year old. And my 9 year old niece started using it last year and it works for her also

Deodorant for kids?
My daughter is 7.5 and started wearing deodorant recently bc we noticed her pits reeked when she would sweat a lot. Daily bathing didnt seem to help but the deodorant does. We used Toms- Lavendar

My daughter started wearing it younger then that but she smelled! We use “fresh Kidz” it’s a natural, roll on deodorant. They smell good and work. I buy it on amazon. She wears it everyday and the bottle lasts a long time.

My son uses Tom's but he's 11 and honestly his BO is getting so bad that I am probably going to have to start letting him wear regular antiperspirant for sport...

I had gotten a free sample of Native and it made my armpits itch like a mofo. But so many people rave about it so maybe it was just me.
I think I read it's the baking soda that causes some people to itch

I started using the aluminum free Dove and I like it so much better than regular Dove. I have very sensitive skin and haven’t had any issues.

So I got it for her and tried it on myself today and I'm impressed. I thought I'd be sweating my pits off, since I always use traditional deodorant but so far so good, even in this heat!
And I have stanky armpits! Lol
