Which Kindle do you have?
Pros/Cons?
I have an OLD kindle. But it was fine for my needs.
I charged it up the other day and went to turn it on this morning and the screen is all pixelated in a big swatch. It's unusable now.
I guess it finally went on me!
I need a new one, but I didn't realize how pricey they are. The one I have they don't make anymore.
Is the cheapest one ok?
I don't need anything fancy.

Which Kindle do you have?
We just got a 6th generation for dh a few months ago. It's an older model but had better reviews and was less expensive so we went with that. It was around $60. No complaints.

Can you tell me the model it was? Where did you get it?
The cheapest Amazon has is like $89

Also, the Fire is cheaper than the Kindles.
Does the Fire work as an e-reader or is it just a tablet like an ipad?

I have both - you can read Kindle books on the Fire tablets in addition to it functioning like an iPad.
While I really like the Fire as a tablet, I personally prefer reading on the Kindle itself though - not a fan of the bright screen and I like the smaller size of the Kindle to keep in my bag.

I think more like purchased and returned. I figured if it came and seemed used in any way we could always return it. Nothing I've ever bought in warehouse deal has actually seemed used at all though.

I just got the new Kindle paperwhite.
My previous Kindle wouldn't hold a charge anymore.
I got the paperwhite vs. the regular Kindle because the screen resolution is better - brighter and crisper, and a longer battery life.
It was a bit more expensive, but I got a 25 dollar gift card for trading in my old Kindle so I went with it.
The Fire is a tablet, I don't like reading on tablets, strains my eyes and I like to read in the sun and the tablet is not good for that.

This is what I have and LOVE it!
Nell same thing happened to my original kindle after a good amount of years having it. The pale white is AWESOME!!! It’s battery life is great, the screen is easy on your eyes and it’s light so you can throw it in your bag and take it everywhere! I got a cheap case on amazon.
