Birthday Party Favors?
What has your kids received that they liked and wasn't thrown out?
Trying to come up with a party favor, but all I can find is crap that I know is going in the garbage.

Re: Birthday Party Favors?
For a summer birthday, beach towel from 5 below was a big hit
But it's winter so......
Is this for mostly boys or girls?

It's for a boy's birthday, but the amount of boys and girls attending is pretty even.
ETA, the age range will be 4-8

Re: Birthday Party Favors?
I’ve stopped doing birthday favors.
Best we’ve gotten were: Bag of candy Goggles (swim goggles) Sticker craft (like paint by number but with stickers) Books Sticky catch (with the two paddles with Velcro and the ball)
Everything else has ended up in the garbage.

Birthday Party Favors?
One of my favorites was a little golden book that matched the party theme. Some of dd's favorites were a metal slinky and a slap bracelet that doubles as a ruler.

Re: Birthday Party Favors?
One parent gave a $3 gift certificate to Ralph's Ices and I thought that was pretty cool but you'd need something for winter- what about one of those activity books you can find at 5 below? Comes with a coloring book, crayons.

A royal icing cookie individually wrapped is always good.

Re: Birthday Party Favors?
I do edible favors as the main gift.
So I do one of those character cookies and then I throw in some candy and snack.
I also do one other thing that is cheap the kids would maybe like and be tossed after a day
for my DS brithday this year I am doing an edible cookie and a batman cape and mask, some small bouncy ball and I will throw in a lollipop
for my DD birthday it was emoji theme I did a cookie a drawstring emoji bag, lollipop, snack and threw in a emojis squishy type ball and plush key chain ( I got a really good deal on them) just remembered I also added cotton candy from the party place because my DD loves cotton candy (this party may have been a little overboard in favors )

Superhero capes and masks. You can get them on Amazon and they aren't very expensive. Good for both genders and DS still has his to play dress up.

That's an awesome idea. The winter version of the beach towel favor!

Yes! So useful! Who can’t use a throw? 5 below has so many to choose from! I’ve seen friends post at the movies and at a cold sports game sporting the blanket we gave!

Re: Birthday Party Favors?
Books. I’ve given out the little golden books or the square softcover character ones from the circular racks in the bookstores. They are like $4 each.

Birthday Party Favors?
A bath bomb! I get the ones at target called da bomb. They have a treat inside and you can get girlie ones or more boyish ones if you use your target card it’s 5% off. They’re $4.99 each. That’s all I did and figured it wasn’t something junky to eat and doesn’t take up any space.

Re: Birthday Party Favors?
Keep it simple. Kids just want a bag of candy. I think most would be disappointed with a blanket. Parents may appreciate it, but how good is a $5 blanket?

Re: Birthday Party Favors?
A cute little notebook with a pen (this would be a huge hit with my kids... they love to draw in a notebook with their own special pen) Something edible is always a hit, just be mindful of allergies.
