President Donald Trump claimed his administration is one of the most accomplished in U.S. history during a speech Tuesday at the United Nations General Assembly ? and the audience’s reaction caught him off guard.

After missing his initial time slot at the annual New York City summit of world leaders due to tardiness, Trump kicked off his morning speech by patting himself on the back for what he considers a job well done.

?In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country ... So true,” the president said, eliciting several muffled laughs.

“Didn’t expect that reaction but that’s OK,” Trump responded with a chuckle, prompting the audience of world leaders, their aides and the media to erupt with laughter.

I choose to believe that the world is laughing at him and not America. Sure, there are a bunch of dumba$$es that elected him, but I choose to think that they know a large part of us aren't Trump.

I say that knowing that they hate American tourists, but I also think Trump supporters are the ones that give us a bad rap abroad.

Trump’s boastful comment describing his administration as one of the most accomplished in U.S. history sparked laughter not because attendees of the annual summit found the comment ridiculous ? but because it was so “honest,” Haley said during an appearance on “Fox & Friends.”

“They loved how honest he is,” Haley said. “It’s not diplomatic and they find it funny. ... When he goes and he is very truthful, they kind of were taken back by it.”

I hate to say this, but the world has kind of been laughing at us for a long time. I have gotten so many questions about why do Americans do this and that.

They refer to Americans here as “Amis”. It usually is negative when it is used. Then I will get comments about how Americans are superficial. I sometimes just want to yell back and say we saved your butt in WW2 and the years after, but I restrain myself.

I’m not sticking up for Trump here, but I’ve mostly heard from friends that he was voted in. However, they don’t really totally understand out gov’t because most countries have a Parliament, which makes a lot more sense.
