Kiddie pool/no garage

For those of you with no garage (and not a big shed as a storage option) what do you do for a kiddie pool? Do you inflate an inflatable pool each time you want to fill it up for your kids and then collapse it each time when you’re done? Do you buy a hard shell pool and store it upside down on the lawn? Any thoughts/experiences welcome! Thank you!

Hard pool, upside down. The inflatable ones are a pita, IMO. They take forever to blow up, and they never dry out enough in between uses so they get gross fast.

Re: Kiddie pool/no garage

When DD was young and too small to enjoy our real pool we got a hard shell kiddie pool and just stored it behind the shed. Don't leave it on an area of lawn that is in plain site...having anything on the lawn like that for am extended period of time will kill the grass in that area

Hard pool, stored vertically against our deck or fence. Even upside down it will invert a little and you'll end up with standing water. I can't stand any off the kiddie pools though and mostly just use the water table.

We have one of those rectangle inflatable pools and I inflate and deflate it when we’re not using it. I store it folded up in the shed. But I usually let it dry out inflated under our overhang on the patio.

I had 2 inflatable kiddie pools. We had a cheap pump that inflated things, so used that. Don’t get the ones with slides attached. A kid that’s more “adventurous” will go head down.

I treat them as disposable (a one season use). We inflated, then deflated when not using and let air dry. Mostly had the babysitter do it to kill time in the afternoons. We had a little tikes bounce house too... I find that everything gets moldy after a season of use.

After a while though... we joined our town pool complex because the kids grew and used a water table when home. They have an awesome baby pool and the kids enjoy “interacting” (fighting) with other kids more than splashing around solo.

We have an inflatable and we just leave it inflated in the back yard. We empty the water out of the pool when not using. It takes to long to inflate and deflate.

Do you have a fence? I saw the smartest thing on Pinterest where the person had over the door hooks on the fence and put the blow up pool on the hooks, so it would stay clean etc.

No garage and small shed but decent size yard ...We have an inflatable and drain it, and keep it on the size of the house. We mostly use the sprinkler though.

This is genius! Our neighbors just put up a big fence behind us (before it we just had the pretty white picket fence all around)
