Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst Is Engaged
Fred Durst is getting married, the Limp Bizkit frontman has announced.
"I have met a wonderful girl named Krista from Rhode Island and have asked her to marry me. She said yes and I am now proud to say that we are engaged to be married," Durst, 35, writes on his page on MySpace.com.
The singer is currently directing his first film, The Education of Charlie Banks, in Providence, R.I. He met Krista Salvatore, 21, in the city over Memorial Day weekend.
Durst says he wanted to break the news himself before any rumors began.
"I wanted to set the record straight … before it became something it is not," he writes. "This is very special to me. I am loving life."
No date or location for the wedding has been announced.
Durst's love life has made headlines in the past. In 2003, he said he'd had a fling with Britney Spears (which she denied), and he's been linked to celebrities including Alyssa Milano, Paris Hilton and others.
Durst has two children, a daughter, Adriana, 15, with ex-wife Rachel Tergesen, and a son, Dallas, who turns 5 in August, with an ex-girlfriend.
Durst also writes that, although he's been busy with the film, he has had some time to work on lyrics for an upcoming Limp Bizkit album and the band plans to return to the studio when he's finished with Education.
