Another knitting question....

I have a pattern and it says with 1 strand of each type of yarn, to knit certain stitches. How do I use 2 strands of yarn at the same time? Do I cast on with both? The pattern says cast on 135 stitches....but makes no mention of using both yarns? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

ETA: Here's a link to the pattern

Looks like you cast on with both and use both strands the whole time. Just hold them together and pretend they are one.

Thank you! I'm new to knitting....so this looked easy since it's only the knit stitch.
